Bring your blanket and join us at Georgetown Vineyards for a hilltop picnic and a spectacular, romantic view of the fireworks from the Cambridge city park. We'll have picnic fare to include foot long hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, cole slaw, watermelon, lemonade and iced tea. Georgetown's great selection of wines will be available for sale by the glass or bottle. We will have corn hole games, cards and more to entertain you until the fireworks begin!
Hours will be from 6pm to 10pm and will be a donation of $40 per couple.

HISTORY... The 9,000 sq ft Taylor Mansion was built in 1878 by Colonel Joseph Danner Taylor. He was a Lawyer by trade, a 4 1/2 term US Congressman, he owned the newspaper, he was bank President... and a very influential man. He owned almost 1,000 acres when he had his mansion built by a famous Architect from Cincinnati, Samuel Hanniford. It has 26 rooms including the bathrooms, original stained glass windows, solid brass hinges and hardware throughout, inlaid flooring, carved paneling, a built-in hat/coat rack, eleven working fireplaces, original plaster ceiling medallions on the first & second floor, built-in bookcases in the library, built with bathrooms and a furnace and so much more...

CHANGES to the Inn...
If it has been awhile since you were last here, you will be pleased to learn of these new and exciting renovations along with new furnishings and bedding too. We are always updating & upgrading the mansion and the rooms so come see for yourselves... There is also a new deck in the back, fence & garden area, 2008! The Lilac room is completely redone 2009!
